Take a piece of cardboard and cut it into a large pumpkin shape, with a Jack-o-Lantern’s face in front. Make sure the holes for the eyes, nose, and mouth are fairly big. If you don’t have bean bags, you can fill orange balloons with sand, beans, or rice, and draw faces on them as well.
To play, ask students a skill-testing question before allowing them to throw bean bags at the pumpkin target. (I allow three shots per student.) Award points to each team, and give candy or stickers to the winning team.
